Challenges Faced by Those With a Mental Health Disability

Those with brain disorders face special challenges in working a Home Based Business or Multi Level Marketing Business. There are hurdles to overcome for anyone new to these business opportunities, but there are additional unique challenges for those with disorders.

The first possible challenge is low self-esteem. Because of their disorder a person may feel that they are inadequate as a human being. They may feel that they are of no value or don’t have anything to contribute to their family or society. This makes it hard to project a sense of confidence and authority when speaking to prospects.
A second issue to overcome is distractibility or lack of focus. During mood swings attention can alternate between intense periods of creativity and feelings of lack of motivation. The person should strive for a healthy balance between these highs and lows. Having a coach/mentor or other support system can be of great help in keeping someone on track and heading in the right direction.
Finally, a person with a brain disorder needs to have structure in their day, especially if they have a work from home business. Without structure a depressed person can wander from one task to the next not really accomplishing much. This can lead to a further depressed state and lethargy.
If someone can overcome fears with handling incoming and outgoing phone calls working from home can be a rewarding experience. With the internet and computers a person can operate easily from home and can take breaks during their work time if they are becoming overwhelmed or feeling anxious.
